I remember my Grandmother having lots of dishes. My older sister, and then a younger sister carried on her tradition. But I never understood their fascination of pretty plates until I started blogging ~ and then I made up for lost time.

Pretty plates lead to pretty linensand pretty tables . . .
Pansies are one of the first flowers to appear in the garden centers here in the midwest. While everything else is still bleak and brown, they offer such a lovely splash of color with their happy faces.
They've never seemed to grow very well for me in my yard. I think maybe it's because our springs fluctuate constantly back and forth between very cold and very warm.
Every year they seem to come up with new colors to tempt us. So while the snow flies outside, I will count the days until they make their appearance in the garden centers and I can bring a few home to brighten my days.
Always grateful for those faithful who follow and leave such kind comments. Wishing you lots of love and kindness during this Valentine week and every day of the year.
Do you have projects you've started and have never finished for one reason or another?
I found these fabrics and quilt pieces in the back of the armoir the other day.
I can't even remember when I started cutting out these quilt pieces, but it was a very long time ago.
The fabrics are so beautiful and such soft spring colors, but they don't go with any of my rooms and to be honest, I wonder if I'll ever get around to finishing this quilt.
I think of all my unfinished projects, I am probably the biggest one of all. Not sure I'll ever be done working on myself, but then what fun would life be if everything was perfect?
