What to Do?

I need your advice.  I found these darling sweet little
Haviland Limoges teacup saucers at Goodwill last week.

Twenty of them to be exact ~ only no teacups.  Each one was
sweeter than the next and I couldn't pick between them, so I bought
them all.
They have no pattern names on the back ~ just Haviland France ~ Limoges.
Nearly every one is different with the most delicate scalloped edges.

I want to sell them at my Open House, but I'm not sure how to use
them to their best potential and I need your advice.
Here are a few of the ideas that I have had.
~
Here I have coupled one with a sweet glass dish and votive candle.
I was thinking of also setting the candle in some loose lavender flowers.

To this saucer, I've added a small glass coaster and large pillar candle.

The typical plate rack display.  This plate is my favorite and is a keeper.

I found an inexpensive tea cup to add to this saucer.  I think they make
a cute couple, but they are definitely not on the same level socially.

And last of all, I've added a glass votive cup and candle.

I could sell them as they are on Etsy ~ somewhere out there are the
missing teacups.  But without their pattern names, I have no idea of their real value.
So what do you think?  Any advice is appreciated.

Have you ever seen the cute birdfeeders that people make with plates? You could even add a mismatched cup or leave it as is. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

They're so sweet! Maybe some kind of collage? I just don't think you could go wrong, no matter what you do!

I vote for the votive cup and candle, I think it shows off the saucer the best. Nice find.

Those are gorgeous! You could also super-gorilla-glue some of them onto glass candlestick holders or paint some old wooden candlestick holders and glue them---makes sweet little display stands for candles, birdies, candy, etc, etc.

I agree with Trisha. The cute birdfeeders made with china saucers are precious. You could set up an assembly line to pop out a good many in one block of time.

A really dear friend of mine gave me a beautiful Haviland saucer with a handmade (from France) soap. I still use it today in my guest bath. But only really special soap!

Cindy, there are so many ways they could be used. I do love the bird feeder idea but then you have to find more teacups. I also like the votive idea too. They are all pretty!~Hugs, Patti

I liked your first photo where you could easily see all the lovely patterns. Your easel display is so pretty too! Amazing how many patterns there are! I have saucers hanging with plate hangers in my nursery, bedroom, and bath.

They are ALL so pretty! I'm sure whatever you decide to make, they will be gorgeous. My favorites choices let the floral design to show as much as possible. Have you seen the chandeliers and lamps that people make with mismatched cups and saucers? These could be really pretty in a project like that.

Cut out cardboard circles to fit in the centers, pad them with batting and cover with a pretty piece of fabric and lace or a piece of fabric with a flower in the center that matches the plate. Glue onto the saucer, add a bit of lace or cording around the edges, a bow and they're ready to hang by someone lucky enough to purchase one!!

How can you part with them?! They are beauties. I like them in a plate stand and with the small votive. If they were mine, I would hang them in a group on a wall. If you were closer, I'd be buying them! Happy Pink Saturday!

I love them. I nearly covet them...
My favorite application is with that plate rack, but that's mainly because I love that plate rack. I would love to see an entire table with them as the inspiration.

BTW, I loved your blog post about sprucing up old bird houses down below. I have some that I want to spruce. You gave me great inspiration.
I followed so I can find you to come back and get more.

What an amazing find, they are all so pretty. I couldn't part with them. Perhaps just put 4 together and tie with a pretty ribbon. They will get snapped up whatever you do. Wish I could go to one of your Open Houses!
