I've been shopping for supplies I need to make some
new items for my Open House in May ~ mostly hitting JoAnn Fabrics,
Hobby Lobby, and Michaels. While picking up supplies, I also found some
sweet little things on clearance or at least half off.
I found this little pedestal candle holder on clearance at Hobby Lobby and
this lovely floral glass globe half off.
I wasn't sure what I was going to use the pedestal stand for whenI picked it up
and it's really made to hold a tea candle. The globe I think I got because it matches my bedroom,
but I found when I got home that they went together perfectly.

This little lady bird was half off at Michael's and I picked her up to
set in a nest, but quickly found another use for her too.
This little container I picked up at Goodwill some time ago and it is
a very soft pastel peachy pink although the picture doesn't show that
very well. I filled it with oasis and them made a soft nest of spanish
moss and reindeer moss. If you've every bought reindeer moss, it is just
beautiful and came in several shades of green. But the surprise when
I opened the package is that it stinks. It nearly made me sick working
with it, so I think I'll take it out to the garage and let it air before trying to
work with it again.
I love the crackle finish on this little bird and her sweetness.

So pretty. I hope the stinky goes away. When is your Open House. Sounds like fun. Maybe the snow will be gone by then, hah, should be. It was pretty yesterday but now ready for Spring.
I love the glass globe, so nicely displayed on the stand. Happy PS, thanks for visiting!
Pretty.

I love this soft and subtle vignette, Cindy.
Hi Cindy -- Glad to see you fulfilling your dreams. Porcelain of white and peach in a delicate nest rests yet a bird just as fragile. Blessings Terri www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com
Hi Cindy,
I'm Shirley. I found you over at Beverly's Pink Saturday. I hope to join in on the Pink Saturday fun. But for now, I'm happy I found your pretty blog. I'm now your newest follower because I hope to visit often.
Sincerely,
Shirley
I love decorating with little birds and I think your creation is lovely.

Oh Cindy such pretties! Love the bird in it's sweet little nest! I haven't heard of reindeer moss before- I wonder why it is called that?
Looks like you are getting some wonderful things together for your show. I wish I was closer - I would love to come see all your pretties!
Got to check the bees today. We lost one of our hives over the winter so are down to 3. I feel so bad for those girls- wish there was something I could have done. I keep thinking that if we had gotten out a few weeks earlier to check on them maybe we could have saved them but between weather and time we just couldn't manage it. The remaining 3 seem very healthy- in fact it was a total surprise that we lost one , what we considered very healthy hive and one of the weaker hives is going strong!
It was nice to have some glorious warm sunny weather today!
