Thrifting Weekend
It was a thrifting weekend for me. I started with the Scott'sAntique Market which was in town for the last time until November. From there, I went to Goodwill. Then on the way to an out of townbirthday party, my sister found a couple more antique stores to visit andI ended the weekend with a stop at another Goodwill yesterday. I found things at every place I went, but just wanted to share a coupletoday. This is a lovely round vintage table cloth with cross-stitch.
My sister noticed it and talked me into it, so it's all her fault, but I'm so glad she didbecause I just love it now. I have a nice collection of aqua things to sellat the Open House, so it will make a nice piece to display them on. It isvery simple, which is what I like, and has a nice edge to it.
I grouped it with some aqua plates that I'll be selling and some fabricI bought at JoAnn's to make matching napkins out of. I love the colors inthis little print and it has a vintage look to it while being new.
Lastly I added a vintage turquoise Ball jar which I picked up this weekend.I already have a nice collection of them to sell, but this one has arusty handle on it, making it a little more unique.
Sorry ~ faux flowers again ~ still nothing much blooming here yet.
I think aqua is fast becoming my new favorite color, right after pink.~Linking with A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday~Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday~My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia for Tuesday's Treasures~

Oooohhhhh...that is really pretty! Aren't you glad your sister talked you into that one?? Looks great with the other aqua pieces! I wanted to get to Scott's this weekennd and I was in town but there was just not enough time to do everything. Now I have to wait till November:( I am sure there will be plenty other places to shop at till then!~Hugs, Patti
Looks like a successful shopping excursion. I stayed in all weekend.
Beautiful finds!
Aqua is becoming my favorite color too the more I see it the more I want it in my home. Beautiful things you have.
I would have never known those were fake flowers if you hadn't mentioned it. I love all your aqua. Sounds like you had a productive weekend!
Yum, two things I adore...a ball jar and anything turquoise.
Hi! I found you at Table Top Tuesday. I think this might be the prettiest post I have ever seen. Love the aqua...especially the Ball jar with flowers. I just bought some of those jars on eBay and the day they came I felt like I had hit the jackpot! I'm your newest follower...come visit me if you have time. ~Ann
Such pretty aqua colors! I really need to get one of those Ball jars. I have two clear jars but not an aqua one. Seems everyone has them but me!
I really love Good Will!
I love your aquas and how everything works so well together! You are going to have a most lovely vintage display! Your pictures are beautiful and really the faux flowers look great...I wouldn't have guessed they weren't real had you not mentioned it! I am happily following you!

Those are good fakes!! I didn't even notice until you pointed it out....I only noticed how simple and gorgeous that aqua Ball jar looked with 'wild flowers' in it! :)
I just love thrifting! The thrill of what you might find combined with how big of a steal will it be....it's so much fun. Your table cloth is gorgeous. :)
I would not have thought to use one of those antique Ball jars as a flower vase, but now that I've seen yours, I'm going to do the same. So beautiful!
I am beginning to like that color, too...love your finds!
Stop over for a chance to win some vintage linen
Your faux flowers look pretty real to me! I was fooled. I'm here from Marty's party and I'm your newest follower. Great blog!
