My first exposure to brown transfer ware was
when I read The Old Sideboard Redo over
at Cabin and Cottage.
It was love at first sight. I was not only
impressed with the delicate beauty of the
cream and brown dishes,
but also with Jacqueline's blog
and her artful way of displaying
her collection.
My mosaic today is of my own brown
transfer ware ~ which only consists of
three pieces ~ but I love every piece in
my new collection.
Brown transfer ware is beautiful in any season,
but I especially love it for November.
It seems the appropriate choice as
leaves softly fall and color fades from
the countryside, while nature leaves us with
its own palette of browns and creamy whites.
I'm linking with Little Red House
for Mosaic Monday.

I think the brown transferware is perfect for Autumn. Lovely!
I like all colors of transferware china. The images are always so scenic and peaceful. Brown transferware looks perfect for autumn and Thanksgiving!
Happy Mosaic Monday!
Hi Cindy! How wonderful your collection looks! Really beautiful samples, but then I've never seen a piece I didn't like! Your mosaic is fabulous, I love the sprig of cotton boll! So unexpected! So nice to know my post introduced you to one of my favorite things ever! I'm honored to be mentioned! Jacqueline
Love the brown transferware, so pretty! And it makes a beautiful mosaic!
My Mom collected an entire set, I believe service for 10 or 12, I still remember the scenes. I love brown, there is something comforting about it. It's very relaxed. Also it still lends a masculine feel, to cottage decor which is a good thing.
So pretty! Enjoy your November!
You be saddened to hear that my mother had a tone of the brown transferware but we sold it years ago in a garage sale... eee gads!
I love your pieces of brown transferware...it sure made a beautiful mosaic...lucky you...I only have one piece!!!
I really don't see the brown transferware to often, is it hard to find?
I love the 'calmness' of the brown transferware. It just looks so serene.

Thank you for letting me know about the subcription tab missing on my blog! I just added it.
Oh yes! I have a soft spot for transferware of just about any color, but I DO love the browns at this time of year. Thanks for sharing your collection at MM. :)
I love your brown transferware, I have been on the hunt for some, with no luck so far. Thank you showing yours.
Transferware of any color has a place in my heart, but the brown shades just are so calming and elegant.
you have a wonderful collection !
Hi Cindy, I do not remember exactly what filter I used, but it was one that gave the picture a painting look and I just pushed the intensity to the extreme. Kim Klassen at The Cafe is holding a free workshop of running Photoshop, I took her last session and learned a lot.
Hi Cindy, thank you so much for visiting me today. I love Brown Transferware, it's all so very beautiful! Lidy
Elegant and loved: a beautiful colection, and nice photography.

I absolutely love the color range of browns to creamy whites..., to those colors also represent beach sand and grasses!
