Pamper Yourself Friday

Does your bedroom soothe you?  Is it a haven, a peaceful place where you can rest and relax?  I worked hard to give mine that type of atmosphere.  Not just because I sleep there, but also because I read there, watch TV, and sew in my bedroom.

It's the little things that make a room special
and give it character.

So pamper yourself ~ fill your bedroom with things that reflect your unique
personality and bring you joy.

Stay warm and have a pampered weekend.

Such pretty photographs. If they are representative of the pampering atmosphere in your room, it must be just gorgeous!

You nailed it! It should be a retreat and your flowers and vintage flair make it such a peaceful place! (That is one lucky puppy!!) Stunning pictures and beautiful blog! Thank you for the kind words on my post...it has made such a difference for our family! SO glad you popped over so I can follow along with you on this journey! All the best! Nicole

I really like the feeling and sentiment of this post, Cindy! I so agree that we should fill our bedrooms with things that bring us joy ... like a private sanctuary where we can go to find rest and rejuvenation. Your posts are really soothing and pretty. Have a lovely weekend! Bess

Hi Cindy! Sorry I have not been around. I took a little break from commenting. I suspect that I'm starting to suffer from computer burn out. Anyways, to answer your question, no, I do not like my bedroom. It's tidy, it's clean, all is in order but it's not the bedroom of my dreams and never will be unless I win a sweepstake! Anyways, I would certainly move out of here if I did and I would get the little cottage of my dreams and all the rooms in the little cottage would correspond to what I have always dreamed of. Long and endless shopping trips would be involved here. Oh, what fun! Okay. Hahhah! Sorry for the long comment! I forgot that I was commenting and I was dreaming.

I agree, it's the little things that bring a smile to your face. Looks like you've got some beautiful comforts all around you. :)

This is my plan for this year. I have a beautiful mahogony bedroom set. It's a 4 poster bed and the posts are so thick you could probably kill someone with them. The head board, foot board and posts are all hand carved. The problem? It's WAY to big for my room. I also spend a lot of time in here. I watch TV, blog, read and knit and my room does not feel like the peaceful haven I want it to be so this year Im going to try and sell my set and fill my room with the things that bring me peace. Your room looks beautiful!

Oh Cindy what a great post and gorgeous pictures!!! You must be taking some lessons?

Thank you for the link for "Give Me Jesus". That is one of my most favorite songs ever!

I am trying to make some little valentine boxes for the Hospice workers. Have spent hours upon hours trying to figure out my Silhouette machine and how to do just the simplest things- goodness I had no idea how complicated it would be!

These photos are beautiful! I want my bedroom to look like this! :) I agree that our bedrooms should exude a tranquil feeling so that we look forward to retreating there -- not just to sleep, as you've said, but also to relax, read, or daydream. You've certainly achieved that feeling in your bedroom. This also appeals to me because pink is one of my very favorite colors; your pink and white Peonies are lovely, and I love your dog photo. :)

Thanks for visiting me from Pink Saturday, and I hope you have a wonderful week!
