A Long Time Coming

Seems like I've been working on this table and chairs forever ~ I'm sure it was
at least six weeks, if not longer.  Again, I forgot to take a before picture, but
I can tell you the chairs are oak along with the table top and the bottom of
the table was hunter green.
Here it is now.

Some of these pictures were taken in my living room, where I do most all of my painting.
Unfortunately, my house is so small, this is the only place I can paint at this time
of the year or take any pictures.

I set the table with these lovely fall dishes I found at a yard sale this summer.
They went off to the store along with the table, but I'm secretly hoping they won't sell.

I would keep them, but it's not like I need any more dishes.

This picture was taken at the store where the table joined the other furniture for
sale in my space.

I'm so fortunate... or maybe my relatives and friends are more so.. but I have not known anyone (yet) who has passed away from breast cancer. Now I know that is the luck of the draw. I've seen the statistics so I know it definitely happens... more than we ever want it to. But I do think that it is encouraging that more and more women (and men) are surviving it.
BTW - Your home is beautiful. Love the colors!!

Love your table. I too have an oak pedestal table. I sold the 4 oak country chairs...didn't like the country style. Bought 4 used chairs and refurbished them. Need to paint the table next. Great job!

Nice job on the table and chairs, but how to you stand to part with them and the other pretties in your shop space.

Love the pedestal color on the table, Cindy! Is it from the Caromal Colors line? I know that you are a fan of them. I am contemplating painting out an old square dining table and using it as a desk. This would be a great base color before the dark wax. :-)

":o) I have that table, and it still has the original hunter green pedestal. I've been trying to decide how to refinish it for months, and seeing the way you did it really inspired me! I love your choice of colors. Yours will be gone in no time in that cute little shop. Thank you for the inspiration!
