One Last Office Reveal
I thought I should finish off my office reveal which I started back inJanuary before my hutch departs for a grander life. The hutch seen in these pictures will be going off to be the main display piece in our store space. It is a very large piece for my small office, which is wall to wall furniture, but it is a wonderful display area for my beach collection. So ~ without further ado ~ here is the final reveal of my office. On the door ~ a sign depicting where I'd rather be.
And here is my beloved hutch.
As you can see, it is so large and the room so small, it is hard toback up enough to get it all in one picture. So ~ you'll beseeing it in bits and pieces.
A collection of glass, pottery and seashells.
Odds and ends ~ decorating books ~ stones and sand from aSan Diego beach ~ and signs encouraging me to "dream".
A plate collection.
My favorite piece I made with a hurricane jar and vinyl letters saying "She sells seashells by the seashore".
Where I'm going when I die.
I will miss this special piece of furniture. My sister gave me the top ofthe hutch and my brother-in-law made the bottom to go with it. It was originally destined for the dining room of a lake house we almosthad, but I couldn't bear to part with it, so it has kept me companyover the years and reminds me of my dream to live near the water someday.I will miss all the special items on it, for they'll all have to be packedaway for safe keeping, and it has often been the background formany of my blog photos and vignettes.Fortunately, the store is less than a mile from my home, so I'll bevisiting it often and constantly arranging new and pretty vignettesand sale items on it. I have to keep reminding myself that it isnot leaving me permanently ~ just going "on stage" to show off a little.

Ahh I love all the colors! I have lots of blues and greens in my house, as well as many "beachy" things. I grew up in Maine close to the beach and am now stuck in Kentucky and I miss the beach EVERYDAY! I am definitely a beach girl. You did a fantastic job with this!
I love your Mosaic...the colors are beautiful. So what will you be putting in place of this great hutch? Can't wait to see
Gorgeous photos...Don't blame you, I'd miss that beauty also!!! The colors are so wonderful in all of your photos!!!

Cindy this is a great piece! Hopefully you will find something to take it's place at the booth at a yard sale or something so you can bring it back home. I have to tell you everything that I have brought down to my booth for display and put a NFS sign on people wanted!! I ended putting prices on my arbor and chandy that were high but if someone really wanted to pay the price they could have it for I could find something to replace them with for the money I would get!
i like your style!!
