A Sad Farewell

Sadly ~ it's time to pack away everything on my screened porch into winter storage.

The seat cushions I didn't get finished up until September,
and I feel like I've barely had time to enjoy them,
although the cat certainly has made good use of them.
Fortunately we've had a wonderfully warm fall, so I've been able to
enjoy meals and lounging much longer than usual.

With the leaves still so green ~ even now in November ~ keeps me
in denial that winter is really coming.

This is the most colorful room of my home and definitely has the brightest light.  I will certainly miss the cheeriness of my porch, because it always makes me smile.

This is the extent of my fall decorating on the porch ~
sweet and simple.

Until spring . . .

Your porch is fabulous, but it will be spring before you know it and you will enjoy it all over again. Hugs, Marty

Your porch sure did turn out fantastic, Cindy! I know you will miss it, and that winters are grey and long here in Ohio, but - as marty said - Spring is never really far off, look how fast the days/weeks/months and years fly by!

Happy November!! GO BUCKS!!!!

This is such a fabulous space and the fabric you used is marvelous. The way time goes by so fast it will be spring again before you know it.

Lovely colour scheme. You always give me good ideas as I'm just about to get out the paint pot and brushes to do a winter makeover in our covered yard.

I just love trips to your screened porch Cindy! I'm so glad you shared these last photos of the season with us. It must be a wonderful place to sit and relax a bit.

Your house is like an inn, so comfortable and cozy. No attention to detail is lost. Now you just need glass windows! How I wish the season were not coming to an end.

I've been whining about a 3 season porch of my own for to long.

Your porch is gorgeous...I would be out there everyday! And those seat cushions add the most perfect pop of color to your table! Just love your garden bag too!!! Where does the time go???!?! Happy weekend to you!

I love your porch, it's so lovely Cindy. I don't blame you for missing it during the cold months. But before you know it, the warm weather will be back. Isn't it amazing how time flies?

Your porch looks lovely. I did not get to do all the things I wanted to do this year either. We had so much rain, maybe next year I will get more done and relax on our porch.

Your porch is a delight! Love the colors!! I say, add some plaid throws, grab a steaming cup of hot chocolate and sit out there this winter. If you have electricity out there, add one of those little electric fireplaces. You could even paint it in your signature green.

Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

I can see why you regret shutting down such a cheerful place. I'm lucky in that I get to exchange one porch for another and enjoy one or the other all year long.
