Winter's Last Farewell

By this time of year, there is nothing very special about snow ~ except it's beauty.  And since winter is making it's last farewell (I hope), she certainly did it in grand style and extravagance.

Everything was iced with an extravagant layer of heavy wet snow, splitting bushes and bowing branches to the ground.

A neighbor's house across the street, with multiple lights on, giving it
a romantic glow in the early morning light.

Everything simple becomes exquisite dressed up in winter finery.

 Farewell winter ~ hello spring!

Such beautiful photos. That's what I love about a snow storm. The way all the trees are covered and it all becomes so magical! A white winter wonderland! It was last week that we had lots of snow. It's starting to melt now. The snowbanks are over six feet tall in my street.

Love the softness of the scene especially the lights across the way and the shape of the little bird house with the promise of nesting and Spring hatchings.

I sure hope you are right. This last one was beautiful how it all landed in the trees.

So pretty this icy beauty! It's quite warm here, but more snow is predicted. I want spring now!
