Winter Bedding
I showed you this photo a month or so ago. In it are the fabrics that I've had for some time to make new winter bedding.
Well, I finally got around to making the duvet cover
and new pillow shams.
The rooms in my house are so dark due to the large trees outside and I've made a concerted effort over the last few years to lighten up my house. Even though this new fabric made the room darker, I was surprised how much I loved it.
I think it was the warm gold colors in the fabric that made me want to jump in, cover up, and hibernate until spring.
With piles of pillows and a comfy throw, it is my new favorite
place to hang out until spring arrives.
The bed skirt and drapes are currently the drab army green stripe fabric that can be seen in this picture, but will be remade from the dot linen fabric that is seen in the first collage. Hopefully that will help lighten up the room again.
But the bed skirt and drapes will have to wait until next winter since they are not my favorite or easiest sewing projects. And besides ~ spring is just around the corner and there are numerous projects waiting outdoors.

It is gorgeous! What a wonderful talent you have! I am seriously impressed with your room...light, lovely, and textured!! (I don't think it darkens it at all!!) Have an awesome weekend!
You have such a lovely bedroom and I love this beautiful fabric. You put in some nice details in the shams, too! You're ready for Spring!
Oh, Cindy, I love your decors, very gorgeous and homey.
Cindy, I adore your fabric. It's like the fabric of my dreams! I would want to hibernate also if I had fabric like that on my bed. You are such a fabulous interior decorator.
