Let Them Eat Cake

This sign is so me . . . my sentiments exactly.

When I was younger and used to bake cakes, I would eat cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner ~ until it was gone.  Not exactly a healthy diet.  I don't do it anymore ~ but mostly because I know better than to bake or buy cakes.  I must admit,  I have been know to eat a whole package of mini cupcakes in one day.  I just have absolutely no self control when it comes to cake.

But these cakes are just to pretty to eat.  Maybe ~ just maybe I could resist if presented with a cake this beautiful.

I'm right there with you - especially if it's chocolate cake - can. not. resist. Bet I could do some damage to those beautiful ones too LOL

Oh. those cakes are gorgeous! Your "cake for breakfast" quote has special meaning for me. When I was little, my mom would always let my brother and I have leftover birthday cake for breakfast the day after a birthday. My parents divorced at 12 and I went with my Dad. At 14, he remarried and my younger step-sister had a birthday a week later. My step-mother was horrified that I got up and ate some leftover cake before school. My Dad and I didn't hear the end of that for awhile! As an adult, I think of that every time I have leftover cake for breakfast...but I just realized that I've never let my own kids enjoy it the next morning like I did. The next birthday is March 1st---guess what my kids will be having for breakfast on March 2nd?? :)

Hope you have a happy day. I'm hosting my Homemaking Linkup Weekend and would love to have you join, if you're interested.

Blessings,
Mrs. Sarah Coller

Those goodies are gorgeous! What a work of art and labor of love! Thankfully, I'm not a big cake eater. Chocolate, on the other hand..... sigh.

I always think of Bill Cosby and his sketch about letting the kids eat cake for breakfast because there was milk and eggs in the cake therefore it must be OK to have cake for breakfast... too funny! I love that guy.. good, clean humor!
