Beautifying the TV

I'm a firm believer in beautifying every space in your life to the best of your ability and affordability ~ and that includes your TV viewing area.  I've already shown you what I did with my living room TV area where my TV resides in an armoire neatly tucked away with a collection of
movies and books.

But in my bedroom (where I love watching TV) it is more exposed.  So I set out to beautify the space around it and here is how it looks for spring.

I found the vase at Goodwill for $.99 and hustled it home to put in my pink and beige bedroom.

Then I arranged it with my pink mercury glass candle, a small glass dish of pink vintage buttons, and doily I found at a flea market this spring.

Don't they make good companions and look at all those textures.  The older I get, the more I love pink in all forms.
~
Lastly, I splurged on some new faux pink and white ranunculus and a delicate green filler.

I've never really seen real ranunculus, but I love these and they don't wilt and die ~ all the better I think.

So ~ although the trend is to have a big-screen TV that is the center of attention, I prefer to blend mine in so it's not the first thing you notice when you walk in a room.  Plus ~ now every time I watch TV in my bedroom, I see my lovely rannuculas and vintage buttons, and that makes me realize that it's the simple things that makes life sweet.

Lovely!

And what pretty shades of pink.

You really scored on your treasures!

Love it - definately makes your space truly springlike and feminine!

Be sure to share that at Pink Saturday, Cindy.

Have a blessed Holy Easter Week, my friend.

Side note: white ranunculus is what was prominent in my wedding bouquet - will have to show you pics of it one day soon.

Cindy I would have never guessed those flowers were faux!! I love rannuculas and would love to grow them but have not had much success with them.

You tv area looks so pretty! I too love pink more and more these days- it is so calming.

It is a cold blistery day- expecting snow later on tonight and tomorrow. I covered my lilacs and brought my pots that I planted inside. I do hate the thought that we will possibility loose the plums and pears due to the cold as they just started budding out a few days ago.

Have had a day of quiet and worked on my blog some- - guess when I won the blog makeover they do it in a different way so there is no going back to the way it was.I am not doing your darling header justice for sure but at least figured out how to get the blue background off. It ,my blog will probably look like it is in a construction zone for weeks till I can get it tweeked.Oh will everything else around me is in construction zone mode why not my blog!!

Hope you have a restful night Cindy-

I love your pink pretties! And I'm with you: no big tv screen. No man in the house=no big tv screens actually!

I just know if I ever came to your house, Cindy, I would instantly feel at home. Everything has such attention to detail. I don't see ranunculus around here very often either. Sometimes in the summer at a specialty farm, but generally it's a rare thing. The faux look great!

Oh what a lovely vignette. I love all of the pink and it is really perfect next to the TV. Great idea. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

I'm like you, wanting every corner to be pretty and not wanting the tv the center focus of the room. You've done a good job in creating such a pretty vignette of pinks to divert attention from the tv. Love those vintage pink buttons!

Checking in to see where my friend is! Probably having a great time working in the gardens- we got snow last week so the only gardening I did was to start some seeds in seed trays.

Jonathan is still here working on the house- Gosh the entry has made such a difference in the look of the house! Love it. Still have much to do.....

Did I tell you we moved one of the hives to the house last weekend? I love having the girls back home!
