A Cozy Table

My bedroom is one of my favorite rooms in the house,
especially in the winter.  My cozy bed,
piled high with pillows and a warm duvet is
my favorite place to read, study or watch TV.
Since I am single, it is the one room where I indulge my
feminine side with ruffles, lace, and lots of pink.
~
I wanted to create the ultimate luxury tablescape
for one ~ me.
Yesterday at Home Goods, I found this sweet little rose
plate that matched my duvet cover perfectly and became
the inspiration for this tablescape.  It is Maxcera's
"Victorian Toile Rose" pattern and comes in a variety of
different pieces.  I chose to only purchase a single salad
plate for $2.99 since I only needed one place setting.

I paired it with my favorite plate ~ my
oval olive~green scrolled plate from Nina Campbell.

For the napkins, I had two pieces of leftover quilt fabric that
matched the plates perfectly.  I couldn't decide which one to use,
so I made one of each and combined them for a more
luxurious look.

I added a small pedestal mercury glass candle holder
for just a touch of romance and ambiance.

Last summer I found this lovely wooden bed tray at
a garage sale for only $10.  It was love at first sight.  It has legs
that can be extended to elevate it or they can be locked
underneath so it sets flat.

I love it's curved edges which gives it personality
and a sweet delicate look.

Even though I only set a table for one, as usual,
Miss Biddy always shows up in time for meals.

This is such a lovely, feminine setting for a bed tray! And what a deal you got on that bed tray -- it's gorgeous, with that decorative trim around the edges. How fun that the floral plate went so perfectly with your duvet cover!

Happy New Year Sweetie...
What a beautiful share. I love, love the bed tray. The scalloped edge is exquisite and has such character. (I too found one this past summer. I paid only 2.00 for it, and I painted it Cottage White. I love it. It is wonderful to spoil ourselves a little when we need a little romance in our bedroom. I like to serve DH a breakfast now and again on the weekend. He loves it.)

Your rose plate does indeed match your bed linen. How beautiful. I love Home Good store, as it is one of my favorite. Unique items, reasonably priced and so much to look at and chose from. Love that store. The rose plate with the green from Nina Campbell is the perfect choice. How pretty it looks.

I love that you doubled the napkins. They are so elegant and match to a "T". You made the perfect choice in selecting both fabrics.

The ambiance from the candle is the icing on the cake. It really sets the mood. How lovely.

I am Country Wings in Phoenix, your newest follower. I can't wait to see what you share next. Please stop by and say hello. I love meeting new friends and sharing along the way. I would be honored if you followed my blog as well.

Happy New Year Sweetie. Country hugs, Sherry
