Hanging on to Summer

I feel like I've been hanging onto summer much longer than usual this year.   Maybe it's because we've had such a pleasant fall that my mind  refuses to accept that it is November already. ~ The last few roses who bravely bloom despite the frost. . . 

red sedum, fresh salad greens, strawberry blossoms, free-ranging chickens,  and other summer pleasures that are hanging on as hard as I am to  these last sweet, wonderfully warm days.
