Beach Makeover
I spent the afternoon with my sister changing out our space in the storewith a bright beachy look. I repainted my wicker furniture a happygreen color and used a fabric with blues and greens for the pillows andmatching blue denim for the cushions.
My house was in too much chaos to take the pictures there, so thisis how our store space looks this month.
I refinished this darling coffee table with a very unique shape and lots of prettydetail work. It originally looked like this.
I thought it might be a hopeless case because of the brown enamel paint withgold paint underneath and numerous scratches on the top. But afterseveral hours of sanding, I began to see it's potential emerge and now itis white and distressed and a beauty to behold.
I set the table with these darling dishes called "Sail Away" that I foundlast winter at Goodwill, blue goblets and homemade napkins.
Tomorrow I'll share my white hutch with our other beachy accessoriesthat my sister so artfully arranged while I was running back and forthtransporting furniture.~Linking with~Boogieboard Cottage for Masterpiece Monday~Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphosis Monday~Dittle Dattle for Amaze Me Monday~The House in the Roses for Show Off Your Cottage Monday

ReplyDeleteI love that table! You did a super job in refinishing it. Your green wicker is gorgeous with the blue accents. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteGood move on repainting the wicker furniture! The color really pops out, and it matched the blue cushions and plates on the table. And the place looks inviting and bright. I could imagine spending some tea-time there to relax and unwind. [Gerry Bossier]
