Blue Peony

Now I have never seen a real blue peony, but here is
the pattern "Blue Peony" by Nikko that is absolutely charming.

Everything in this tablescape/vignette was found at either a
thrift store or flea market.  I am constantly amazed at what lovely
things can be found so inexpensively.

First I found the dinner plate and on another trip to Goodwill,
I found the matching salad plate.  I have paired them with some
beautiful vintage silverware I found this weekend at a flea market.
I thought the fork was especially beautiful with the letter "N"
engraved on it.  How could anyone part with such a lovely pattern?

The lavender terrarium was a weekend find and is going to my
open house, but until then, it is hanging out with it's lavender friends.

I love the unique metal grillwork on this terrarium giving it a
feminine touch.

And the sweet little violets I picked from my backyard which is
currently a carpet of violet and green.

  6. How PRETTY!! You were very lucky to find more of the same pattern on your second trip. Score!

I love how you've displayed everything...especially the little bouquet tied with such thin, narrow ribbon. Precious!

  15. What lovely plates, love all colours you have put together x

you was asking for the receipe for comfrey tea..
using a bucket add comfrey leaves, as many as you have from a plant, fill with water and cover with a lid and leave for up to 5 weeks (it will smell pretty bad lol). Dilute 1 part comfrey tea to 20 parts water :)

  16. I think those blue peony plates are lovely, and I'm crazy about that monogrammed silver. I agree with you about why anyone would want to get rid of it.

    Lucky for you they did!

The whole table is so pretty, and I love the terrarium. Did you give it the finish yourself or find it that way? I'd like to finish something like that.

  18. Cindy the whole setting is just lovely!! I am imagining snuggling my nose into your sweet bouquet of violets! I love the fragrance of these little gems!! I used to have teeny tiny vases that I would put 4 or 5 violets in and have them all over the house.

I took some violet plants with me from my home in NM but I am not sure what happened to them as I have not seen them. I am going to have to find some more.

Love that terrarium! The metal little fencing is adorable!

Praying you are feeling better and will have a blessed Resurrection Celebration!
