First Blooms

I came home from work today and spotted a few patches
of crocus blooming in this chilly weather.  I guess it must have
been the brilliant sun that made them brave enough to poke
their little faces out.  After all ~ they've been waiting as long as
we have for a breath of spring.
Here is how I found them blanketed with fall foliage.

But in my eyes they are really more stunning than that, so with a
little tweaking in Photoshop, I think this is the glory they deserve for
being brave enough to be the first blooms of spring.

  3. I am so jealous that you have crocus blooming already!! Things are just beginning to peek out of the ground here. I almost don't want some things to start blooming as I know we are not finished with cold weather yet and would hate for the fruit and flowers to be wasted.

Hope your week is going great!

  4. Yes, love the crocus. So hardy and hangs in there even with snow. First nod to 'you've almost made it through winter'. Lovely photo and photoshop design :)

  10. Tulips are blooming profusely here on the prairie...they could easily be zapped by a snow storm at any time. And so it goes. We'll enjoy them while we can. Thank you for sharing your crocus and for stopping by my post. Cherry Kay
