Taking Time

I know you all must be getting tired of seeing
pictures of my bedroom, but I keep finding
 vintage accessories in pinks and
creamy whites that I just can't resist.
~
I found this lovely vintage silver tray at the French Hen
Barn Sale and the pink mercury glass candle holder at
Pier One for half off after Christmas.
I think they make the perfect couple.

Instead of packing away all my Christmas bulbs, I kept
these creamy white ones out and mixed them with little
sprigs of soft pink berries.  They add more texture and interest
to the arrangement, while softening the transition between
the tray and candleholder.

Today I found a pretty creamy white linen table runner with
a delicate lace edging  at a local antique store
to complete the vignette.

For me the beauty of this vignette is the combination
of the delicate lace edging and the detail of the silver tray.

One of my New Year's resolutions is to slow down and
enjoy the beauty in life.  For me that means not only smelling the
roses but also taking time to light the candles.

We never get tired of your room, how could we -- I mean who else could find these pieces, keep out certain Christmas ornaments and place some berry sprigs on a beautiful runner and call it a day -- Voila! We NEED your creativity. Love Terri - www.moringdewdrops.typepad.com
