Mine haven't even started blooming yet- another week or 2 I am thinking!

We had a bit of a scare last week as a wild fire broke out near our town. We were put on pre-evacuation status as it is so dry here - ended up burning 14,000 acres -they have it about 85 % contained now. A few hours from us is the South fork fire that has consumed over 90,000 acres- our state is just burning up. It is so sad.

I have forgotten if you get a summer vacation with working at the school. Looks like you have been working hard in your garden, it is looking so lovely!!!

bee blessed
maryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1864549244746309640.post-83716641339142266012013-06-29T19:51:44.144-04:002013-06-29T19:51:44.144-04:00Sunflowers just say: Summer! Even the viola is still alive - unheard of in this heat.

Enjoy this better day - finally cooled off a tad with that fast intense storm yesterday.

Tonight is the city festival fireworks - which can be seen from our backyard. WELL we could watch them all when we moved here but now only the grand finale.

We have two nieces staying with us tonight and hubs plans on taking them to the roof to watch. : - )

Love your sunflowers - coincidentally I put up my faux sunflowers door wreath yesterday. I had my light purple hydrangea one up for my tea party last weekend - but the yellow of the sunflowers is very cheerful, I agree!

Have a great weekend, Cindy.Michele M./ Finch Resthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08971943265328093734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1864549244746309640.post-12594974090594372452013-06-29T07:55:42.166-04:002013-06-29T07:55:42.166-04:00Love the sunflowers!
